Willamette Hops day at the Pitchford House

I just harvested my Willamette Hops today. I know it’s late in the season. I should have harvested last month, in fact. But life has a way of getting in the way, if you know what I mean. I finally had a day off and a few hours to spare, so I cut down the Willamette Hops vines and picked the hops. They are drying in the dehydrator at the moment. Willamette Hops have subtle, spicy and floral notes and are used in many types of beer. I’m planning to use them in a porter or stout.
